The overall objective of the PARE project is to trigger collaboration between European Stakeholders to support the achievement of the ACARE Goals (presented in the European Commission’s document “Flightpath 2050”) by providing yearly reports (and respective methodology) that assess the progress, gaps and barriers and propose suitable measures to close the remaining gap.
The first yearly report has been improved, resulting in a more cohesive report that is now composed of three main parts:
PART I addresses the fundamental objective of considering the progress towards the 23 ACARE Goals, the gap eventually remaining and measures that could contribute to its closure. The PART I of the assessment of the 23 ACARE Goals groups them in five chapters;
PART II addresses a number of major topics closely related to the ACARE Goals and leads to the complementary 35 PARE Objectives, which support the implementation of the ACARE Goals. PART II of the assessment of the 35 PARE Objectives also groups them in five chapters;
PART III consists of three detailed case studies addressing subjects of major interest to the aviation community.
Following the feedback obtained through the first yearly report survey, the second yearly report includes an Executive Summary and a Conclusion chapter, this last composed of five articles accessible to the non-specialists summarizing key issues, findings, conclusions and recommendations of each chapter in PART I of the first yearly report.
